finally-my dream bottle
for the last 3 months i've been searching for "the bottle" that i would love. i've tried avent, green to grow, think baby, etc. literally i've spent probably $300+ and finally found my dream bottle. born free where have you been my whole life (well maybe not whole life- but my life with C). these bottles of course have one extra step of cleaning and prep than the other bottles, but it's worth it in my opinion. it doesn't leak, spill (even when dropped on the floor), and it comes with a travel cap so you can avoid any unwanted milk in your travel bottle bag. i heart born free {bpa-free}. all moms out there- do your own test if you need to but if you want to save time, agony, & $ just go with born free.
{enjoyed the day- it was beautiful in nyc}
current state of me: {i'm so excited for spring/summer, no more teaser days}
current state of C: {sleeping like a *baby* in his stokke-hopefully until 6:30am again}

fairway, fairway
we explored up to fairway's cafe today with friends and was pleasantly surprised. although it was a maze trying to find the elevator with the stroller- it was well worth it. the food was excellent- we all had the chicken soup, fish & chips, the big boy, & veggie quiche. definitely going back again. all the quirky signs were fun to read! little mr. sleepy slept the whole time.
current state of C: {sleeping in his car seat}

driftwood
this is a side post from C, but i was digging around on the web {as usual} and found a table that i would want one day. {sigh}
i heart driftwood that is used for coffee, dining, and accent tables. i'm in love {again} maybe when i move into a home in the far far future we will need to make an investment on one, just one.
current state of C: {sleeping like a frog again} he got his first vaccinations on Wednesday and cried like a champ!

stomach sleeper
ever since little mr. sleepy started sleeping on his stomach (remind me to thank the grandmas) {sigh}, we've been really nervous about him suffocating. hence why all the docs want them to sleep on their backs.
we had heard about a sensor system that detects all baby movements and after much researching & digging...we found the Angelcare Baby Movement Sensor. for $140 bucks- this has been a lifesaver. mr. sleepy and i are not running to the crib every 5 seconds to check on him and feel much more comfortable since we have the monitor right next to us. we've had one false alarm since we got it- i welcome all false alarms especially since it means that the monitor is working.
this is how it works- you place the sensor pad under the crib mattress and plug the cord into the nursery monitor. then you take the parent units anywhere in your house {my case our 1 bedroom apt}. the parent unit tells you the temperature in the room, a pendulum image shows you that he is breathing/moving, and also allows you to hear whatever sounds he makes. {brilliant} mental note- always remember to turn off the nursery unit when you are picking the little one up because the alarm will go off. in the middle of the night this is not fun.
current state of nursery/our bedroom: {73 degrees, mr. little sleepy is passed out in his frog position, no sounds are heard as of now}
current state of me: {worry-free, well at least a little}
